Calcín Jug
Medium table jug. Ovoid body. Expanded mouth and pouring spout.
Model without supporting base that recreates the production of the Real Fábrica in the 18th century.
Similar examples can be found in the Museo Tecnológico del Vidrio.
Decorated with garlands using an engraving wheel.
This jug recreates the aesthetic tradition of the 18th century, bringing it into current times of circular economy. It is no coincidence that it takes its name from a small but important element, cullet: recycled glass that drastically minimises CO2 emissions, which contribute to global warming, and avoids the extraction of raw materials from nature.
Smooth or engraved with garlands, it is a museum worthy piece. Very similar models can be found in the Museo Nacional del Prado.
